Katsumi followed the figure, still not knowing what was happening. She was, for the first time, no longer in control. She could only follow. Perhaps it was the situation or the person she was following. How could he be here? He was just walking with his family, yet he was also present at the train station.
Shiro was in the room, sitting quietly. The children were sleeping. They felt everything, yet you could suppress almost everything with training. Today she was the one doing it. They were strong in the flow of spirit energy, yet not ready for it. She had to concentrate fully on her task. Kuro was certain that it was their purpose to lead the new world. He hoped it would never come to it, as he was always taking everything onto his shoulders, trying to do it on his own. He did not want to decide the fate of others. This was the one thing he never accepted while taking his role. At least for now. He understood the flow of the spirit energy and was the master. He could see years, if not decades, into the future, yet when the time of choice was happening, it was always a bet and not a decision. The children were still sleeping in their beds. She felt Kuro was trying to influence the outcome, yet it was the time of choice.
The world is in constant motion. You could influence the outcome. Or perhaps you can not and think you changed it? Or maybe you influenced the input, not knowing what could happen? The reality is strange. Who says there is one world? Who says there are many parallel worlds? Nobody knows it, or maybe everybody? Only the chosen ones understand this. They are born from time to time. Nobody knows why they are there. The spirit energy flow chooses them. Until they feel it, they do not even know it. Are they the strongest or the weakest ones? Are they chosen because of their lives or because some upper power decides? When you get chosen, you will know and understand how the world works. Or will you just have more questions that need answers?
Katsumi was still following the figure. She could not stop, she felt hypnotised. The figure stopped now in front of a Tori Gate in the Centre of Tokyo. She looked around the busy streets. Nobody was looking at the Gate. Was it really there?
The figure stopped and looked at her, saying, “This is now the final decision. Walk with me for the rest of your life or vanish in the world’s flow for all eternity.”
Katsumi did not understand what he meant. She felt the need to go through the gate, yet she knew it would never be the same. Would she lose everything she had in this world? However, what did she have? Only memories were left of her life. She decided. A tear flowed down her cheek. She hoped only never to forget her life till now.
